Wilson Alonzo

Originally from Yucatan, Mexico, Chef Wilson Alonzo is a landmark figure in the research, preservation and gastronomic promotion of cuisine of Mayan origin. His love for gastronomy, the commitment and respect he has for his region, have positioned him as one of the main exponents of its cuisine; in 2023 he won The Best Chef Local Awards, consolidating himself as the best chef of local cuisine in Yucatan worldwide. He is currently developing the Ya'axché Ethnogastronomic Complex, which houses the Ya'axché traditional cuisine restaurant, located in his native Halachó.
