Ferran Adrià
Ferran Adrià is one of the most influential and renowned chefs in contemporary gastronomy. Born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat in 1962, he developed much of his career at the helm of elBulli, in Roses.
Under his leadership, the restaurant became a global benchmark for innovation and culinary creativity. His cuisine revolutionised gastronomy through techniques and concepts such as foams, spherification and deconstruction. ElBulli was recognised several times as the best restaurant in the world and was awarded three Michelin Stars.
Adrià also stood out for his research and for understanding gastronomy as a creative and multidisciplinary discipline.
His legacy has transformed the way we understand cooking and has influenced generations of chefs around the world.
