María Miñano

President of the Wine Tourism Federation of the Valencia Region and president of the Alicante Wine Route

I began my professional career in 2004 as an associate professor at the Miguel Hernández University (UMH). Since then, I havecombined university teaching in the health field with my training and professional development in another of my great passions: the world of wine.

In 2012 I joined the family project MGWines – Familia Miñano Gómez, with the aim of developing the group's wine tourism area, A department that I currently run. Since 2021 I have been president of the Alicante Wine Route and, since 2023, president of the Federation of Wine Tourism of the Valencia Region, working in both entities for the professionalization and the positioning of wine tourism as a tool for the promotion and development of the territory.

Currently, I combine this activity with teaching in the Course of Professional Sommelier of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce and in the Master's Degree in Oenology and Viticulture at the Miguel Hernández University.
